Backing
Backing fabric must be good quality cotton and 4” larger than the quilt top on all sides. The backing can be pieced or plain.Specific instructions for managing pieced or seamed backings will be considered on a case by case basis and can incur extra charges. Do not use polyester fabrics or bed sheets for backing. If the backing fabric needs to be joined, first remove the selvedge and stitch using ½” seam allowance then press the seam open. Joining the backing fabric can be completed for £10.00. Squaring the backing fabric will also be charged at £10.00.
News
2019 was a busy year. In August, Kaffe Fassett’s “Quilts from America” was issued. I quilted the cover quilt, along with a number of others in the book, also four quilts that featured in Today’s Quilter, as well as all the lovingly made quilt tops that I have been privileged to work on.
